By the time many women realize something is wrong, they have already been managing it for years.

Capacity is the nervous system’s ability to hold demand without shifting into protection. And for many women, that threshold has been quietly crossed long before symptoms appear.

This matters because the nervous system determines whether any nutritional, hormonal, or metabolic change will help or harm.

Why effort stops working before women stop trying

The nervous system does not measure worth or discipline. It measures safety, energy availability, and recovery.

It is constantly asking:

  • Do I have enough fuel to meet what is being asked?
